History[]

Conner Kent[]

Relations[]

Martha Kent (Smallville)

Martha meets Conner.

Just before sending Clark and Lois the deed to the farm, Martha met Conner and officially adopted him as a son. She then figured on showing Conner the sights tomorrow. She then told Conner how she made the Superman outfit from blankets inside Clark's ship when he found her and Jonathan. She also decides to tell Conner the pea story. The next day, Martha asks Conner what's wrong when he hears Jor-El's voice before he falls over, and Martha is knocked out by LX-16. She's then tied onto the spire of the White House as the rope around her wrists is snapping before Conner manages to save her, with his shirt having been previously ripped open by LX-16 to reveal the S-Shield on his shirt. She then comforts him over footage of him saving the Washington Monument and telling him that just because Clark uses glasses as a disguise doesn't mean he has to. Clark then returns to take Conner home as Martha tells them good-bye.

Krypto[]

Martha Kent (Smallville)9

Martha talks to Conner.

Martha was held captive with the rest of the senate by Dr. Polaris, with the threat of a bomb going off if Conner knocked Dr. Polaris out, so Conner sped in and got the senators out as Conner's new dog, Krypto, took out the bomb control by biting through the glove and taking it off as only a small explosion occurred. Martha then called Krypto a good boy as he went off again with Conner.

Superboy[]

Martha Kent (Smallville)11

Martha talking with Clark during the move back.

Martha arrived at the farm after the wedding and learned that Clark chose not to sell it, and that he and Lois would be finished moving back in my tomorrow. She then asked if the wedding was still on, which it was. She then agrees with Clark that they hope it won't take long and also gives a coy smile about Lois being okay with the situation. She then asks about Tess, who's still missing. Just then, Tess comes in and explains how she had been in recovery, making Martha wonder what she was recovering from, learning that she'd been stabbed by Lex and revived via Cadmus. This shocked Martha about how far Lex had come since she'd known him. She also learned that Tess had blanked his mind and was surprised Clark approved considering the damage Lex did when he knew Clark's secret. She then asked if Oliver and Chloe were flying back to Star City, learning that instead they were staying over for a little bit. She then learned from Oliver and Chloe that Chloe was pregnant.

Dog's Day[]

Martha Kent (Smallville)10

Martha returns to the farm.

A few years after the fight with Darkseid, Martha arrived at the farm to visit Clark, Conner, and Lois. She was then surprised that Krypto hadn't grown as much as normal dogs due to his Kryptonian physiology aging him at the same rate as a normal human. She then plays fetch with Krypto until Lois comes down. When Krypto accidentally breaks the stair railings, Martha comforts him, knowing he didn't mean it. Martha then jokes about the prolonged engagement, much to Clark's chagrin. When Krypto puts his head in an empty waste paper basket and walks around, Martha notes how Clark did the same thing when he was little, acting as a monster.

New Day[]

Martha Kent (Smallville)3

Martha thanks Superboy.

At Martha's home in Washington, one of her pens rolled to the wall, and when she went to pick it up, she was confronted by Dr. Polaris. Martha asked what he wanted, learning he wanted the world, and for Martha to convince Superboy to help him do that, which Martha refused before getting tied to a scaffolding in Metropolis as the rope was breaking. Just as the rope broke, she was saved by Superboy. She then thanked Superboy for his help.

Martha once again expresses her concern while having to accept the fact that Clark is a grown man that can make his own decisions. At Jonathan's senate victory party Martha & Jonathan happily congratulate the newly engaged couple. A few minutes later, Lionel Luthor calls Jonathan to congratulate him on his win and to arrange a meeting to talk with him in his barn. During the confrontation with Lionel Luthor, Jonathan became enraged because he believed Lionel was a threat to Clark. Jonathan punched Lionel and tossed him to the ground. The intensity of the incident was too much for Jonathan's heart, so he walked out of the barn and died of heart failure in his family's arms soon after as Clark and Martha arrived home the same night. Clark and Martha were both devastated, but helped each other through their shared grief.

Zod[]

After Clark defeated Zod and became friends with Lex, Martha learned that Clark and Lana had become engaged.

Phantom[]

Clark and Martha (Smallville)3

Clark says goodbye to Martha.

On the day of her departure for DC, she tried to make Clark understand that just because she was leaving, he did not have to stay and manage the farm, and that she always knew that his Destiny would lead him to other places; but Clark felt it was his duty and obligation to stay on the farm that had been in their family for over a hundred years. So, he and Martha embraced each other and expressed their love for each other and as she walked away from him, she looked back at him one more time as she stood in the open doorway and then departed.

She was willing to hear what Lex Luthor had to say when he proposed to invest in some area farms and modernize them to make them more profitable and invited them to discuss his prospects. She convinced Jonathan to go, but Jonathan chose to take out a bank loan instead.

Martha arrives at LuthorCorp when she and Jonathan's old friend, Earl Jenkins, takes Clark's class hostage, demanding to be taken to Level Three. Martha then meets Lionel Luthor again when he arrives. She also objects to letting Lionel gun Earl down since he's just trying to get a cure for the seizures he's having, caused by Meteor Rock under his skin. Once Clark manages to stop the gas leak and get Lex and Earl out, Martha hugs Clark with Jonathan.
