Personality

Clark's personality is always preserved, though in AU fics, circumstances around him tend to change.

Powers and Abilities

Clark has all the abilities of a normal Kryptonian under a yellow sun, and he has also become skilled in hand-to-hand combat and in journalism. His leadership skills also steadily come into play throughout any series he's in.

Weaknesses

Clark is vulnerable to various types of Kryptonite and magic. Green Kryptonite can literally kill Clark. Red Kryptonite takes away Clark's inhibitions, Black Kryptonite separates Clark into two people, Silver Kryptonite makes Clark horribly paranoid, Blue Kryptonite takes away Clark's powers, and Gold Kryptonite takes Clark's powers away for good. Clark is also powerless under the rays of red sunlight.

History

Conner Kent

Smallville

Clark and Conner (Smallville)

Clark and Conner Kent.

After Conner came home from his first day at Smallville High, he asked Clark to ask Chloe for a copy of the Wall of Weird, surprising Clark until Conner explained that he had made friends with Clayton and Zoe. He then agreed to call Chloe about it. He then asked Conner if he had homework and told him to do it while he did some yard work. When Clark later found Conner in the loft, he mentioned how Jonathan had called it his Fortress of Solitude and gave it to Conner as his own personal Fortress of Solitude. Clark then learned from Lois that they were going to have dinner with her dad, which Clark agreed to, putting on his glasses. He then told Conner that how he separated his hero and human persona were up to him and let Conner come to dinner as is. At dinner, Clark greeted Lucy and Sam and introduced them to Conner. He then told Sam Lane that he and Lois were thinking of having the wedding on May 13. He then explained that Smashmouth is an alternative rock band to Conner and agreed that he liked Lucas Grabeel's singing. Then, with Conner, he overheard Lionel discussing a rock with another woman, leading Clark to believe he was going to use Black Kryptonite to separate Alexander from Conner, quickly telling Lucy that he wasn't talking about anything.

Alexander

Clark and Conner (Smallville)2

Clark and Conner after the mess with Lionel.

At the farm, Clark heard what seemed to be Conner telling himself to shut up, so Clark rushed to the fields, finding that Lionel had separated Alexander from Conner. Clark's then weakened from Kryptonite around Conner's neck and falls over. Clark tries to appeal to Conner by telling him that he's not Lex, much less a murderer. While Alexander refuses to listen, Clark insists that Alexander doesn't have to do this. When Alexander asks why he cares, Clark explains that it's because Alexander lives, and it gives him the right to choose who he's going to be rather than Lionel or Lex's memories. He exemplifies his point by insisting that Alexander not listen to Lionel's manipulative ways. When Tess suddenly arrives and begins to get through to Conner, Clark points out that since Alex has all of Lex's memories, he knows about Lionel's manipulative ways and asks if he wants to go through all that again. When Alex tosses away the Kryptonite, Clark gets back up. As Alex goes off with Tess, Clark insists that Conner not hold a grudge and hope for the best. He then decides to take Conner home and just forget about this incident, nervous about telling Lois. When they get back at the farm however, Clark decides to tell Lois about the events. When Alex and Tess arrive, Clark assures the two that they're always welcomed there. As the five talked, Clark decided to talk to Chloe about giving Zoe the Wall of Weird as he rushed off.

Bases

Clark Kent (Smallville)

Clark confronts Eric.

One day, after Conner came home from high school, Clark asks what's on his mind. Learning that he's nervous about going to the school where everyone knows him, Clark encourages him by reciting how Jonathan Kent and Virgil Swann told him to choose his own destiny when he was growing. When Conner comes back, having been asked to try out for baseball, Clark helps Conner practice pitching without giving him away. Conner manages to get the perfect amount of strength into the pitches with Clark reminding him to never lose control. Clark then thanks Conner for his input on the color theme for his and Lois' public ceremony. Clark then heads off with Lois for dinner with Oliver and Chloe, leaving Conner to watch Shelby. When they get home, Conner tells Clark how Eric Marsh has come back and stolen the stash of Kryptonite Clark and Pete had buried after Eric was arrested. Clark then goes with Conner and Alex to confront Eric. At the Smallville High baseball field, Clark confronts Eric and tries to talk Eric out of taking the Kryptonite again, though Eric refuses. The group then arrives and helps Clark and Conner out after Eric inhales the Kryptonite. Clark gives Eric another chance to change, but again he refuses. He then heads off with the others as the police arrive. Clark then shows Conner to the Fortress of Solitude and gives him the Kryptonian name Kell-El. Clark then promises to give Conner his current Blur jacket after a few years.

Relations

Clark Kent (Smallville)9

Clark talking to Conner about selling the farm.

Just before the return of Clark Luthor, Clark takes Conner to Washington DC to visit Martha. Clark then speeds off, planning to pick Conner up on Monday. A day after Conner saves DC and Martha from LX-16, Clark returns to pick Conner up, congratulating him on how he acted during the situation and learning about how it was another Lex clone, and how LX-16 was dead when Conner went back to him. He then double checked that Conner was alright and agreeing that Lex brings out complicated emotions in Clark. He then lets Conner know that he and Lois are considering selling the farm after his meeting with Earth-2 Jonathan. He says that they might change their minds, but he's letting the past be the past. He also accepts when Conner decides to stay with Tess. Once the two return to Smallville, Clark gives Shelby to Conner as he moves to the Mansion.

Maternal

Clark and Lois (Smallville)26

Clark and Lois after coming home from Hub City.

After moving out of the farm and into an apartment in Metropolis with Lois, Clark was greeted by Tess, who acted like a mother in a fifties sitcom. Clark asked if Tess was alright when she continued this attitude. When Lois gets Tess out of the room, Clark asked Alex and Conner what had happened. Learning that it was an e-mail from Zatanna, Clark remarked that he'll have to have a talk with her, especially considering the bachelor party earlier that year. He then called John and Zatanna, having been connected to Zatanna by John, Clark asked how to reverse the spell, learning that it would fade away by itself by the end of the weekend, and that it'll get worse before it gets better. As Conner pitched during a big game at Smallville High, Clark remarked on how well he was doing, jokingly calling Lois prejudice for saying Clark could do it better. Clark then explained to Alex that he doesn't know how Tess will get worse since Zatanna hung up afterwards. Clark then decided to help Tess through the situation. Clark then believes that they have to figure out how Tess will get worse, getting momentarily distracted by Tess' turkey. When Lois left, Clark wasn't too concerned since she was still new to these situations. Clark then got suspicious when Tess knew Lois had left and used x-ray vision to find her in the basement. Clark then went to get Lois when Tess approached them with Kryptonite. Clark tried to get Tess to calm down before the two were saved by Conner arriving and Alex using a knock-out dart. Clark then thanked the two for helping and had Zatanna watch Alex and Conner since the incident was her fault.

Krypto

Clark Kent (Smallville)37

Clark when he met Krypto.

A short time after Kal-El was born, Jor-El and Lara gave him Krypto, who he quickly bonded with. Shortly after escaping the Phantom Zone, Clark and Kara went to the Mansion because Conner had found a puppy with super strength. He then reminded Conner that Kara was their cousin and asked Kara who Krypto was, learning that it was a dog given to Clark back on Krypton by Jor-El and Lara. Learning from Kara that Krypto had accidentally gone into the Phantom Zone with Raya, he surmised that Krypto must have escaped with him and Oliver. Clark was then jumped by Krypto, who recognized his old master. Clark then stated that Tess will be against letting Krypto stay. He then introduced Krypto to Tess with Conner. When Alex blackmails Tess with photos of her while she was under Zatanna's spell to allow Krypto to stay, Clark asks Alex not to do that anymore since getting his hands dirty was what got Lex on the slippery slope that made him who he was. Clark then helped Conner fix Tess' desk and the door, both damaged by Krypto.

Superboy

Superman (Smallville)9

Superman at the Crow's Nest.

After saving Earth from Apokolips and Darkseid, Clark had managed to buy the farm back before it went into eskero and was unpacking what was already there while Lois was setting up for the move back to Smallville. He then invited Martha back, as she happily hugged Clark, who had decided that he shouldn't forget Smallville as it made him who he was. He then said that the wedding was still on, just delayed due to Clark having to go overtime as Superman to help establish trust between him and the people. He also said that the two would still be living together in the meantime and asked Martha not to give him a coy look. He then admitted how he hadn't heard from Tess and had begun fearing the worst. Just then, Tess arrived with Conner and Alex much to Clark's surprise, and he learned that Tess had been killed by Lex again but once again revived through Cadmus. Clark then learned that Lex came back through various clone parts being crafted together as well as the fact that Tess had blanked Lex's mind to stop him from knowing Clark's secret. After mourning the apparently permanent loss of his friend, Clark admitted that it might be a good idea that Lex doesn't remember who he is as the last time he knew his secret, Clark lost Lana, and now he might not have to worry about Lois. He then explained to Conner how the wedding was put on hold on account of Superman. He also explained how Chloe and Oliver were going to stay here for a bit. He also invited Conner to move back into the farm as he admitted that he and Martha were right about the farm. When Chloe and Oliver arrived, Clark assured them that if it took seven years, he and Lois would get married. He then learned that Chloe was pregnant. A few days later, Clark helped Conner, Alex, and Tess rebuild the mansion as a much warmer place. He then assures Conner that he, Alex, and Tess will be invited to the wedding next time. That night, Superman and the newly christened Superboy were observing the view from the crows nest. Superman makes note of the view as Superboy remarks on how he'll miss it once he leaves the nest with Superman asking him to keep an eye on Smallville for him until he becomes an adult, which he agrees to.

Bizarro

Clark Kent (Smallville)11

Clark notices Bizarro flicker.

Waking up a few weeks after the Crisis, Clark comments to Lois that he likes it quiet since it gives the two of them time to figure out when to have the wedding. When Conner arrived, Clark assured him that he wasn't interrupting a tender moment, just talk about when to have the wedding. Clark was later surprised when Conner's eyes glowed blue for a second before turning around. Later, Clark asked Lois if she'd like to go out with him by themselves. He then took her to a cozy restaurant as he asked her if she thought Conner was acting odd. When Lois asks why, Clark admits that he doesn't know himself. Clark then went to Conner's room to question him about his odd behavior when Clark caught a glimpse of Conner's skin as white and rocky, making Clark realize that he was Bizarro.

Faceoff

Clark Kent (Smallville)38

Clark meets Bizarro again.

After Clark saw Bizarro, he pretended not to have noticed while casually asking how Bizarro's dinner with Zoe went. He also gave faux advice about how open Conner was being about his alter ego as he'd be living it up a lot longer than most of the humans on the planet. Clark and Kara then met up at the Fortress explaining the situation to Jor-El, and that they had to find Conner. When Jor-El used a scanner to drop a frozen Conner nearby, Clark went to him and thawed him with heat vision. Once Conner was free, Clark told Conner to calm down since they had to be smart about fighting Bizarro. Conner then went to Watchtower with Clark, finding Bizarro holding Tess captive. Learning that Bizarro had dealt with Alex and Lena already, Clark demanded with Conner to know if they were dead, learning Bizarro had buried them alive. Bizarro then tried to taunt Clark about what he'd do if he wasn't around to protect Smallville, making Clark argue that it didn't matter as he always had Conner. Clark then got slammed into a wall by Bizarro. When Conner flew off with Bizarro, Clark explains that he had taken him to Mars. When Tess asks if taking him to Mars will work twice, Clark pointed out that if he comes back again, he'll have two superheroes to deal with.

Secrets of Betrayal

Clark Kent (Smallville)40

Clark encourages Conner not to give up on Alex.

While Conner's helping Clark lift up bales of hay after Alex had went to Lex due to an issue of trust following an incident with Lana and Bizarro, Clark tells Conner that the only thing they can do is not repeat Clark's mistake in giving up on Lex. Clark is then surprised to find Emily Dinsmore in front of him and eight years old again. Quickly realizing that this is a new Emily considering she doesn't know about Lana having moved, Clark asks Conner to stay with Emily while he tries to contact Lana. Clark then managed to contact Lana and explain to her that a new clone of Emily was at the farm, leading to Lana immediately arriving via superspeed, leaving Clark bemused at the cartoon-like occurrence. When Emily explains that a creepy man made her, Clark assumes that it was Lex, though he admits to Lana that he isn't sure why this Emily has superpowers. After Conner and Lana investigated the old Dinsmore house, Clark got a call from Conner explaining how the only clue that something was up was a fake wall built over the passageway with nothing else to tell them where Emily came from.

Prototype

Clark and Lois (Smallville)12

Clark and Lois watch Emily play with Lana.

Later, Clark happily watched Lana and Emily play like mother and daughter with Lois and Conner. When Tess passed out after meeting Emily, Clark arrived with Lois. When Conner went off to investigate LexCorp after some info from Emily, Clark was rendered unconscious by Kryptonite as men working for a returned Lionel had kidnapped Emily. Though not knowing of Lionel's involvement, Clark did recognize that it wouldn't have been Lex.

Family

Superman (Smallville)10

Superman patrols for Emily.

Later, Superman was patrolling Smallville with Superboy and assuring Superboy that they'd find Emily. Once Lana arrived with Emily, Superman and Superboy met up with them. Superman then suggested celebrating finding Emily. Superman then met Emily's pet bunny, Bugsy. Superman then welcomed him to the farm with Emily and Lana. At the farm, Clark confirmed to Lois that they have enough ice cream for everyone to celebrate finding Emily. Clark was then happy that Lana had finally gotten a happy ending as she sped off to Edge City with Emily.

Lucy

Clark Kent (Smallville)16

Clark talking to Dunleavy.

When Tess went missing, Clark and Lois helped Alex and Conner look for her as he and Conner looked up the address of LuCorp, being the one to confirm that it was the house Dunleavy had bought when she'd moved to Smallville. Clark then sped to the house after Alex and Conner with Lois. He then made sure his glasses were well on as he met up with Tess, believing she was a small girl named Lucy. Clark then advised everyone to stay straight faced as Dunleavy arrived. He then asked her if she knew where Tess Mercer was, which she said she didn't. Clark then advised going back to the mansion and figuring out what to do next. He then thought on Tess thinking she's Dunleavy's daughter before agreeing with Conner to call in Zatanna due to her expertise in magic. Clark then called out as Krypto zoomed off for Tess. Tess was then brought to the mansion with Krypto by Zatanna as Clark explained to her that she'd been brainwashed by Dunleavy and learned that all that happened was that she had some pie Dunleavy had offered her. After learning it was the pie, Clark waited for dinner time to get to Dunleavy and convince her to let Tess go as they'd had her go back to avoid suspicion. He then changed into Superman and headed to the house with Superboy while he had Lois and Alex watch Zatanna, who'd tested the pie and was now acting like a nine-year-old. He then met with Dunleavy and confessed that he knows that Tess is there, and when Dunleavy refuses to let her go, Superman says that Lucas is alive, but he just doesn't know where he is, saying there's no reason to do this to Tess. He also says that Dunleavy won't get what she lost by manipulating someone. Once Dunleavy lets Tess go, Superman lets Tess take care of Zatanna and get back at her for last year as long as it's only until the pie wears off. He then heads home with the others.

Justice

Clark Kent (Smallville)41

Clark gets subdued by Slade.

While helping Conner with chores, Clark assured Conner that he and Lois would get married when they found room to breathe before learning that Slade Wilson had recovered from his coma. Clark was later kidnapped with Lois by Slade, who used Kryptonite to subdue Clark. Clark was then held with the rest of the League in a Metropolis warehouse. He was then saved by a group of young heroes made up of Superboy, Speedy, Zan, and Janya.

Secrets

Clark and Lois (Smallville)34

Clark and Lois during the interview.

During a school assignment, Clark was interviewed by Zoe along with Lois. He then invited Conner to join them when he arrived. Clark then explains how Conner was the one who found him. Clark then nervously says that there wasn't anything big about Conner's adoption as they just took him in, and Martha made the adoption official. When Zoe left, Clark confessed that they had Tess help since Conner didn't have a birth certificate, leading to Oliver and Chloe making one for him as Tess made sure to make it legal.

Emily

Clark and Lana (Smallville)7

Lana and Clark nearly rekindle their relationship.

Coming back to the farm from work, Clark discovered Lana there dressed provocatively. Clark asked Lana what she was doing, and when Lana suggested starting up their relationship again, Clark insisted that they were just friends now and that he loved Lois. Lana then kissed Clark, infecting him with the Red Kryptonite she'd accidentally absorbed into her suit. However, even as Kal, Clark said how he loved Lois. When Lois arrived, Clark picked her up and kissed her in front of Lana, not caring that they weren't alone. Clark then told Lana that saying Lois stole Clark from her was out of line before he said how Lois "forced" the story of the Nichodemus Flower out of him before saying he'd gladly give up more before speeding off to clean Bessie's new calf. He then said to Lois that he didn't think he was infected by Red Kryptonite. Clark then explains how his new attitude started as Lois realizes how Lana absorbed the Red Kryptonite as Clark suggested using regular Kryptonite to sweat the Red Kryptonite out of him after they have some fun, which Lois agrees to since there wasn't any immediate danger from her perspective. Clark then sped Lois to their room. After some romantic fun, the two returned downstairs where Lana and Conner were missing. Once Clark had himself returned to normal, Clark was ready to head off and find them, wanting Emily to stay at the farm with Krypto but reluctantly agreeing to let her come provided she stay close to them. Clark then interupts Lana and the now Red Kryptonite infected Conner, telling them not to give into the basser instincts, using the Kryptonite to sweat out Conner's Red Kryptonite and return him to normal as Clark closed it. Clark also shrugged off Conner's joke about him and Lana needing therapy. When Lana returned to normal after going to the bathroom removed the Red Kryptonite influence, Clark assured her that it wasn't her fault. When Lana and Emily were about to head off, Clark thanked Lana for her being happy for him and Lois and assured Lana that she'd find someone someday. Clark then noted that Conner had no idea how amazing his friends were before patting his shoulder when he countered with having random access to Clark's memories.

Smallville: Swann

Crusade

Dr

Clark officially meets his biological father.

At the Kawatche Caves, Clark met up with Virgil Swann and thanks him for the Black Kryptonite. He also learns that Virgil Swann was actually Jor-El, and he'd sent Clark to Earth to be a hero, not a conqueror. Clark then introduced Dr. Swann to Jonathan and Martha, giving them some alone time. Clark then came back when he heard that Dr. Swann needed help and learned about the Stones of Power.

Sacred

Clark Kent (Smallville)28

Clark holding the key.

Clark is later asked by Dr. Swann to get the Stone of Air. Clark agrees and also asks if Dr. Swann misses his ability to walk, which Dr. Swann admits that he did. Clark then brought Dr. Swann to the Farm to explain to the Kents. Clark then went to Swann's plane to head off, and find the Stone, asking his dad to go easy on Dr. Swann. He returns with the Stone and talks to Dr. Swann about Lara and how they had trouble having a child, making it harder to send him away. Clark then invited Dr. Swann to dinner and said farewell to him after he left.

Commencement

Clark Kent (Smallville)29

Clark is transported to the arctic by the crystal.

The day he graduated from high school, Dr. Swann arrived to witness it. Immediately after Clark accepted his diploma, the coming of another meteor shower was announced. Clark once again sought guidance from his Kryptonian birth father and Dr. Swann told him that he must reunite the Stones of Power immediately. As the meteors began to bombard Smallville, Clark managed to find the other two Stones of Power and reunited them to form the Crystal of Knowledge. After grabbing the crystal, he was teleported to the Arctic Circle where he threw the crystal into a blanket of snow and created the Fortress of Solitude.

Arrival

Clark Kent (Smallville)30

Clark at the Fortress for the first time.

Clark entered the Fortress of Solitude, where Jor-El told him that he had to stay and prepare to save Earth from a great evil from Krypton. He began his training, but unbeknownst to him, Chloe was also transported to the Arctic with him. Unable to withstand the sub-zero temperatures, she collapsed inside the Fortress. Clark interrupted his training and Jor-El initially forbade him to leave, but relented after Dr. Swann supported Clark. However, Clark was warned that he must return to the Fortress before sunset or there would be dire consequences. Clark took Chloe to a hospital in Smallville. There, she admitted that she discovered his powers months ago and Clark told her that he was, in fact, from another planet. Clark and Dr. Swann banished the Disciples of Zod to the Phantom Zone. When Lana was injured, he chose to take her to the hospital and did not return to the Fortress. Jor-El took Clark's powers, making him powerless.

Hidden

Clark Kent (Smallville)21

Clark is brought back to life by Jor-El.

Days later, Clark was shot by Gabriel Duncan, who hatched a plan to redirect a nuclear missile to hit Smallville and kill all metahumans. Clark died, but Virgil Swann resurrected him with his powers restored. However, Jor-El warned Clark that life-force of someone he loves will have to be traded for his own. Clark protested, saying he would rather die himself, but Jor-El informed him that Clark had already made the choice when he disobeyed him. Bitterly disappointed and apprehensive about Jor-El's prediction, Clark returned to Smallville, dismantled the missile in space, and saved the town.

Solitude

Clark and Brainiac2

Clark defeats Brainiac.

When Fine infected Martha with a Kryptonian disease, Clark learned that Fine was actually the Brain InterActive Construct, a Kryptonian artificial intelligence that had, in fact, manufactured the silver kryptonite and was using Clark in a plot to release General Zod from the Phantom Zone.

Christmas

Clark and Patricia

Clark and Patricia talk.

Clark invited Dr. Swann over to the farm for Christmas, which Dr. Swann accepted. He then picked Dr. Swann up at the airport and met his younger half-sister, Patricia Swann. After arriving at the farm and introducing his parents and Chloe to Patricia, they all spent the evening talking, including Martha talking about the pea story. Clark then had a heart to heart with Dr. Swann before heading to bed. The next morning, he was rudely awoken by Patricia. Downstairs, Clark gave Patricia a picture frame, a graduation picture to Dr. Swann, and a picture of Chloe, Clark and Pete from middle school to Chloe, as well as receiving a book about King Arthur from Chloe and a pendant of Jor-El and Lara from Dr. Swann. When Dr. Swann and Patricia left at the end of the day, Clark said he hoped to see them soon.

Reckoning

Clark, Martha, and Jonathan (Smallville)

Jonathan Kent's last moments.

Clark showed Lana the Fortress of Solitude, told her of his true origins, and proposed to her, which she later accepted. At Jonathan's election victory party, Lana was summoned away to the Luthor Mansion by Lex, who drunkenly asked about Clark's secret, and Jonathan was summoned away by Lionel. While driving back, Lana was chased by Lex and she was killed when a school bus collided with her car. Clark arrived too late to save her and having stopped at the accident site to comfort Clark, Jonathan never arrived to meet Lionel. Devastated, Clark tearfully begged Jor-El to bring Lana back to life and Jor-El sent him back in time to the moment before he told her everything. Instead, Clark was forced to lie about why he invited her over. However, Lana saw through his excuse and told him that she wanted a break from their relationship. The second time, Clark was able to prevent the accident and save Lana, but Jonathan successfully made it to his meeting with Lionel. When Clark and Martha returned home, they saw Jonathan wandering around the farm. Having just beaten up Lionel, Jonathan collapsed to the ground and died in Clark's arms. Clark confessed to Martha that Jonathan died because he tried to prevent Lana's death.

Vessel

Clark Kent (Smallville)23

Clark is imprisoned in the Phantom Zone.

When Lex was kidnapped by Brainiac and given Kryptonian powers, Jor-El explained to Clark that Zod was responsible for Krypton's destruction and that his mind and spirit required a host body to inhabit on Earth. In order to prevent Zod's release, Clark must destroy Zod's chosen vessel: Lex. He was given a Kryptonian dagger to do so. Clark refused after coaxing from Dr. Swann, and Clark tried to reach Lex, however, Brainiac simply used the tossed away dagger to stab himself, sending Zod into Lex. After being tossed aside by Zod, Clark went to get Chloe, to say she might never see him again, Chloe gave him a passionate kiss. Clark confronted Zod in Lex's body, but he was overpowered and thrown into the Phantom Zone.

Zod

Lex Luthor (Smallville)8

Clark "kneels before Zod".

While in the Phantom Zone, Clark found himself powerless and surrounded by deadly beings imprisoned by Jor-El. He met Raya, a Kryptonian who was one of Jor-El's assistants. Raya helped Clark escape just in time to save Martha and Lionel. Clark confronted General Zod and, after a brutal fight, used the Crystal of El to separate Zod from Lex and send him back to the Phantom Zone. With Dr. Swann's help, Clark revealed his secret to Lex and renewed their friendship, also revealing his secret to Lana and becoming engaged to her.

Justice

Justice League (Smallville)3

Clark and the other heroes.

Clark met Bart Allen again, but when Bart was captured by Victoria, he learned that Oliver and Lex had assembled a team of superhumans to stop Victoria's Level 33.1 activities. Clark went to save Bart, but he was incapacitated by kryptonite. The Green Arrow rescued him and Clark joined the other heroes in their effort to blow up the facility. Oliver asked Clark to join the team, but Clark told him he was obligated to capture the Zoner first.

Phantom

Clark Kent (Smallville)32

Clark faces Bizarro.

The day that Clark's mother moved to Washington, Clark met up with everyone and the Martian Manhunter who explained that they were hunting the last phantom and tracked him to Reeves dam with Victoria there as well. When Clark arrived at the dam to stop them, the two were confronted by the last phantom, who recognize Clark and took some of his DNA to perfect himself. The phantom took Clark's form and then threw Clark out of the Reeves Dam, destroying the place.

Bizarro

Clark Kent (Smallville)33

Clark healed by the sun.

Bizarro wanted to kill Clark and live his life since he obtained all of Clark's memories and started to become stronger by absorbing kryptonite. With Dr. Swann, Chloe, and the Martian Manhunter's help, Clark was able to defeat Bizarro by punching him towards the Sun out of the Reeve's Dam after discovering that the sun was his greatest weakness.

Kara

Clark & Kara (Smallville)

Clark finds his cousin Kara.

Investigating the ship with Lex and Lois, Clark found his Kryptonian cousin Kara who had been in suspended animation for eighteen years, Clark decided to help her to adapt to life on earth. He let Kara stay with him at the farm, but when he went to ask Dr. Swann about her, Swann told him that while he trusts Kara, her father Zor-El could have a hidden agenda in sending her here. Clark then assists Kara in retrieving her ship from Victoria Hardwick with Patricia and Lex before hiding it on the ship.

Blue

Clark and Lara (Smallville)

Clark with his birth mother Lara in the Fortress.

Clark began to hear a voice calling out to him from the blue crystal, claiming to belong to his birth mother and take it to the Fortress, where replications of both Lara and his uncle Zor-El were formed. Lara showed Clark his father's Victory ring containing blue kryptonite, discovering it could strip them of their powers. Zor-El then confronted Dr. Swann and Lionel, announcing his plans to dominate the earth and accepting his hand in Krypton's destruction. Clark went to confront Zor-El and pursued him to the Fortress. He worked out that the destruction of the blue crystal would stop Zor-El's plans, so Clark destroyed it but at the same time both replicants. After talking to Lana, Clark asked why he had to be the one who made the hard choices, with Jor-El explaining that it was his fate.

Apocalypse

Clark Kent (Smallville)34

Clark is transported by the Key to another reality.

After the death of Lara, Clark fell into a depression and decided that Earth would have been better off if he had never arrived. Jor-El then showed him such an alternate reality where he never existed and Clark saw that his parents and friends were happy and healthy, but without his presence, Brainiac and Lex were taking over the world, causing mass destruction. This motivated him enough to go back home and continue fighting, promising to defeat Bizarro with the help of his friends and family, including Jor-El.

Persona

Clark, Lana, and Bizarro

Clark is dismayed about Lana's decision.

When Clark arrived at the farm to find Bizarro in bed with Lana, she was visibly shaken as Clark and Bizarro got into a fight with Bizarro zooming off. He then went to the barn to regroup when he was involved in an ambush by Kara and Lex before Clark revealed his mother's clone's last words, confirming it was Clark. Clark then went with Kara to the house of fellow Kryptonian survivor, Dax-Ur, to get Blue Kryptonite to stop Bizarro. Clark arrived at the Fortress where Lana was and watched as she chose Clark over Bizarro and destroyed his physical body with the Blue Kryptonite, defeating Bizarro again.

Descent

Clark and Lex (Smallville)4

Clark talks to Lex over Lionel's death.

Clark saw a news report showing the Lex from the alternate reality, and he informed Lex, Chloe, and Lana about the other Earth, getting into trouble with Lana over having kissed the alternate Lois. After learning that Lionel Luthor seemingly committed suicide, Clark, Lex, and Chloe began to suspect that the other Lex was responsible, which they were correct about. When Dr. Swann explained that he must collect the Veritas keys to stop whoever could control him, Clark retrieves them with Lex and Kara. After finding the keys, Clark discovered that Lana was attacked by Brainiac, who used her to deliver a message to the cousins. Lex enlisted his contacts to help Lana at the hospital, with Clark lamenting Brainiac's return. After comforting words from Chloe and Dr. Swann, Clark attended Lionel's funeral with Lex.

Arctic

Clark Kent (Smallville)35

Clark is confronted by Lex in the Fortress.

Clark, Chloe, Kara, and Dr. Swann talked about stopping Brainiac, getting around his problem with killing people by insisting that Brainiac's a something rather than a someone. Clark confronted Brainiac and killed him, freeing Lana from her catatonic state. After Lana fully recovered, she left the hospital and left Clark a video message in which she ended her relationship with him and left her engagement ring on the table. Clark and Lana relieve stress.

Against his parents' judgment, Clark tried out for the football team his freshman year as a starting tailback. However, after stopping Coach Walt Arnold from using his pyrokinetic abilities on others, Clark resigned from the team.

X-Ray

Clark was a witness to Tina Greer, as Lex Luthor, robbing a bank, noting how she looked just like Tess but was willing to give her the benefit of the doubt, especially since his x-ray vision had just kicked in at the time.

Cool

Clark accepted Lex's offer of radiohead tickets if he asked Lana out. Clark did so, as friends. He however broke the date when he heard about someone close to Sean being killed to check on Chloe.

Hourglass

Clark met a metahuman named Cassandra Carver who said that someone close to Clark would die very soon. Later the next night, he met up with Lex, who showed him the car, stating he was moving past what happened. The next day, Clark went to visit Cassandra, but she'd past away.

Craving

Clark and Lana (Smallville)2

Lana and Clark's relationship starts to grow.

Clark talked to Lex about Chloe's theory about the mutegenic properties of the Meteor Rock when he visited the Torch and was fascinated by Chloe's Wall of Weird. He also ended up planning on escorting Lana to her birthday party, but when he was unable to, he asked Lex for a projector to show her cartoons like in a birthday she recently described to him, with Lex agreed to.

Jitters

Clark, Martha, and Jonathan (Smallville)6

The Kents reunite after the incident with Earl.

While his parents were out, Clark accidentally had a party for half of his school. Clark also encouraged Pete to give Lex a chance after he dropped by. On a field trip to the LuthorCorp plant, Clark and the rest of the class were held captive by Earl Jenkins, though Clark did try to convince Earl to let them go after he looked at the blue prints. Clark's then freed when Lex arrives, but he goes back in and turns off the rising methane levels from a previous jitter attack from Earl. He then unsealed the elevator to Level Three and followed them down. Clark believed Lex's claim that Level Three didn't exist, and he then saved Lex and Earl when another Jitters attack destroyed the catwalk they were on. Clark waved the incident off as adrenaline. Clark then reunited with his parents and hugged them, witnessing Lillian punch out Lionel.

Rogue

Clark Kent (Smallville)27

Clark stops the bus.

When Clark was invited to a museum in Metropolis by Lex, he was fascinated by a breastplate when Lex told him that it belonged to Alexander the Great, and the S-shape on it symbolized bravery. However, Clark didn't see himself wearing that as he felt it was tacky. Clark then admitted that all he knew about Alexander was how he cut to Gordian Knot. He then found out that Lana was there as he nervously greeted her. Clark then realized that Lex invited her, and he told Julian that he gave her a nostalgic present. Clark then talked to Lana before walking away. Clark then ran into Lex as he reveals that he's going for air, saying that Whitney isn't his enemy. As Clark continued to refuse, he met an old friend of Lex's named Victoria Hardwick. Clark then goes to get fresh air. During that, he stopped a runaway truck and was confronted by a corrupted cop named Phelan. He was then confronted by Lillian. Clark thanked her for welcoming him to the museum and asked if she was there to see Martha and was shocked to learn that she was there to see him. Clark then asked how she knew that, learning that Phelan had talked to Lex and asked why he wasn't talking to him. He then asked how different Lex was before he knew him after learning that Phelan had gotten Lex out of a few jams in Metropolis. Clark then lied and told Lillian that Phelan just wanted to ask him some questions. However, when Clark refused to play along, Phelan framed Jonathan for murder, and Clark ran into Lex again. He said that Lionel was hanging in there and got aggrivated by Lex offering lawyers. When Lex insisted, Clark asked Lex to stay out of this before losing his tempter and pointed out that Lex knows a lot about how Phelan acts, revealing that Phelan told him how he had secrets. Clark then insists that Lex can't help, and he has to deal with this on his own. When Phelan calls Clark again, Clark goes with him to the museum as Clark realizes that Phelan's after the breastplate, and they go in. After Phelan puts the plate in a duffel bag, Clark tosses it to the police Phelan distracted and disappeared with Phelan being killed in a gunfight with the police as the charges on Jonathan were dropped following an investigation.

Hug

Clark and Kyle

Kyle and Clark.

Shortly after the mess with Phelan, Clark went on a horse ride with Lana and Chloe while the three were watching Julian. When Chloe has difficulty dealing with her horse, Clark asks where Julian is when he suddenly rushes up. Clark congratulates Julian on taking to horse riding but asks him not to wander off again as he promised Lex and Lillian that he'd keep him safe. Clark then asked Lana about Whitney, whose dad was getting sick. Clark knows that running a family business is hard and doesn't blame Whitney for wanting to sell the store as he doesn't see himself becoming a farmer when he graduates. Clark then told Lana and Julian he didn't know who he'd be as long as it doesn't involve wearing a suit and flying a lot. Clark then asked Chloe why she'd brought her camera when Chloe notes how this place was bassically the bermuda triangle of Smallville as people went in and came out without any memory of what happened. When Clark heard a shout from Lana as she went back to get the camera, Clark went to get her, having Chloe stay with Julian and the horses as he sped off to reach her. Clark found Lana on the ground as Kyle was over her, leaving just as Clark arrived. Back at the farm, Clark was reviewing the video that had accidentally been made when Chloe dropped the camera along with Jonathan, Martha, and Julian. Clark then confirms to Julian that he found the camera in the woods and explains what happened to his parents. Clark notes that it looks like Kyle was checking Lana to see if she was okay. Clark cracks a smile at Julian calling Nell a jerk as he apologizes but says he doesn't say any proof that Kyle did anything wrong. Clark then learned from Lillian that she heard about Kyle before she hurries Julian off when Clark said he planned to talk to him. Clark later argued with Lana and Whitney about Kyle before he left the table and began talking to Lex. Clark also learns from Lex that a man named Bob Rickman is after his and Jonathan's farm. Clark then asked why Lex is worried considering his dad would never sell the farm. Clark then asked what was wrong with Lex when he angrily ranted about Rickman and learned that Lillian helped Rickman get his business started before he betrayed her. Recognizing the old proverb of power corrupts, Clark promises to let his dad know to be careful. Clark then explained the Kyle situation with Lex and was confused by Lex's comparrison to Atticus Finch from To Kill a Mocking Bird. Clark then wonders how it ended before he wished he could convince the two he was right. Clark then thanked Lex for the advice and headed off when he noticed Kyle. Clark later called Lex and told him that Jonathan had signed over the farm to Rickman. As Clark is distressed he explains that Whitney said Kyle attacked him, and Kyle says the opposite while Clark believes Kyle. Clark then says that he would be happy just to get the farm back as Lex assures him it'll be fine. Clark then explains that Jonathan would be interested in how Rickman got him to sell as much as Lex would. Clark then says how he appreciates what Lex's doing and says how he's sure his parents will appreciate it too and says that he and Chloe are looking into Rickman. Clark then arrived at the mansion with a bleeding Kyle, who'd been shot during an escape attempt. Clark insisted Kyle was framed and asked for a doctor since Kyle refused to go to hospitals. Clark then asked about the doctor Lex was using and asked if it was safe to trust him, reassured upon learning that he valued discretion. Clark then thanks Lex and explains to Lillian that if he brought him to the farm, his parents would freak, so he could only trust Lex. Clark then said that he still thinks Kyle's innocent as Kyle said Whitney swung first during a fight. Clark then said he's going to try and find out since Kyle seems to know Rickman. Clark then apologized for the mess as he headed home. He then agreed to change his blood stained shirt when Lex took note of it. Clark then arrived with Chloe to share information both sides had gathered about Kyle and Rickman, with Clark assuming that Rickman's driver, Mercy Graves, has a mean right hook as she'd punched Lex just before they arrived. Clark also learned that Kyle and Rickman got their start as salesmen via Lillian and Job Inc. Clark then asked how they went from two of the worst to two of the best when Chloe shows them a newspaper article that shows how the two were trapped in a car during the Meteor Shower. Clark then goes to the Mansion with Chloe and Lex to ask him. When he isn't there, Clark asks the nurse where he is, but the nurse doesn't even know who he is. Clark then believes he knows where Kyle's going. He's then blocked by Lillian, but Lex lets them leave before Clark can argue with Lillian. Clark and Chloe arrived at Kyle's camp just as he was heading out. Clark called out to Kyle and revealed that he and Chloe know that he used to work with Rickman. Clark then explains that they also know that he knows how Rickman works, and it has something to do with the Meteor Shower. Clark then revealed that Rickman got Jonathan to sell the Farm. Clark then learns that Kyle and Rickman got the power of persuassion by the Shower. Clark then learns that they'll keep trying until they succeed, which was why Kyle hit Whitney, to snap him out of it. Clark tries to talk Chloe out of a test, but she insists, and Clark hears Kyle say that Chloe has feelings for Clark. Clark doesn't believe it at first, thinking it's just for show when Chloe rubs his chest and pulls him into a kiss before she stops and acts like Kyle didn't do anything yet. Clark then subtly admits that Kyle proved his point as Clark assured Chloe that the kiss was nice. Clark then asks why Kyle hid in the woods when he had these gifts. Clark then stops Kyle from leaving and demands to know why Rickman's trying to kill him. Clark then chides Kyle for not stopping Rickman before as it lost the Kents their farm as Clark empathizes with Kyle having dangerous abilities, but he says that you can't just run and hide from your gifts. Clark then called Lex to let him know that Kyle had decided to go public about Rickman. Clark then told Lex that he was at the car repair shop. Clark thanked Lex when he was going to take them to the Planet and the Inquisitor when he began pouring gasoline on the car as Clark and Kyle rushed out. Clark then breaks his door open and Kyle's before speeding Kyle into the building. When Lex follows them and threatens to shoot Kyle, Clark rushes out. Clark tried to reason with Lex, asserting that he's Lex's friend, but this ultimately fails as Lex begins shooting Clark as it only leaves bruises. Clark then grabs Lex's gun and kicks him unconscious. As Clark looks for Kyle, he hears a gunshot and arrives to find that Kyle convinced Rickman to kill himself. Clark then asks Kyle if he's alright, which he is. Clark then learns that Kyle knows his secret but promises to keep it. Clark then gets tended to by Martha as Clark jokes about finding out he's bullet proof. Clark also muses about how it was Lex who shot him. Clark then admits to Jonathan that he didn't know where Kyle was but confident he was making a difference. Clark then greets Julian and Lillian when they arrive since the buyout was dropped with Rickman's death. Clark then admits that Kyle disappeared and wondering why Lillian wanted to meet him. Lana then came in and apologized to Clark about the mess. Clark then greeted Lex at the farm as Clark explained that they heard the good news and said that things are good between him and Lana again. Clark then thanked Lex for his help and asked how he was, learning that Lex couldn't remember a thing about what happened. Clark then wonders if he and Lex would ever end up like Kyle and Rickman, dissuaded by Lex.

Clark, Martha, and Jonathan (Smallville)2

Martha and Jonathan fret over Clark when he is injured without his powers.

When Clark saved the life of a classmate, depressed and abused Eric Summers, he temporarily lost his powers. Eric wandered away from their geology class field trip and, holding a meteor rock, was about to jump off of a bridge. As Clark tried to pull Eric to safety, the two were struck by lightning and Clark's abilities were transferred to Eric. Clark remarked that his farm chores took two hours instead of five minutes, but it was worth it to be able to play pick-up basketball with his classmates. He also considered the possibility that if he were to get his abilities back, he might not have to keep them a secret because everyone accepted Eric. However, Eric then attacked Clark by throwing him against a car, injuring his ribs. When Eric continued to act psychotically violent, Clark reclaimed his abilities because he realized that, unlike himself, Eric did not have a supportive family to help him manage the responsibility that came with the powers.
